Advantis 3PL Plus recognised at the National Convention on Quality and Productivity 2021

Advantis 3PL Plus, a member of the Hayleys Advantis Group, set a record win at the recently concluded National Convention on Quality and Productivity (NCQP) 2021 by winning nine coveted awards for its achievements in quality and productivity. The awards included seven Gold, one Silver and one Bronze Award. The NCQP organised by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP) has allowed companies to showcase their abilities to innovate, add value and reduce waste. As a leading 3PL solutions provider in the country, Advantis 3PL Plus has strived to continually improve the quality of services provided and enhance process efficiencies in order to be competitive in the 3PL sphere.

Being a part of the SLAAQP and competing in the NCQP since 2018 has assisted Advantis 3PL plus to capture and standardise operations thereby increasing overall value to the company whilst getting the opportunity to share their expertise at national and international platforms. The first-ever Platinum award won by Sri Lanka at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) 2020 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, was by Advantis 3PL Plus. Furthermore, the latest edition of ICQCC, held in 2021, saw Advantis 3PL Plus winning three Par Excellence Awards at the awards ceremony held in Hyderabad, India.

A robust programme, Operational Excellence (OE) established through integrated logistics cluster drives quality and lean management practices by allocating resource persons in all business units and setting targets and procedures to capture new initiatives. Expert training sessions are carried out periodically to share knowledge from the learnings of completed projects and to identify areas of improvement and also waste reduction methods. Each operation/account is encouraged to work with minimum resources/investments to achieve objectives in terms of productivity.

Advantis 3PL Plus has won numerous awards throughout the years for its exemplary performance. These awards were won for projects carried under DMAIC-Lean Six-Sigma (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control), VSM (Value Stream Mapping), Fishbone Analysis, 5 Why (Cause-Effect & Problem Solving) & PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and Kaizen projects. In the process of driving these projects, employees and the business units within the company have been able to share and exchange knowledge whilst introducing various growth opportunities in terms of skill enhancement and career progression.

A team of lean champions and enthusiasts running multiple continuous improvement projects in the form of 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, 6 Sigma projects, and investing in in-house resource development initiatives have driven productivity Improvement and cost reduction initiatives which proved to be effective, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though all operations were carried out with limited resources, the team at Advantis 3PL Plus ensured that they met all customer expectations without fail.
