Eagle Logistics Colombo goes bold with dual leadership appointments

Eagle Logistics Colombo celebrated its 18th Annual Awards Ceremony at Raffles Residence on 29 October. 

At this ceremony, the Managing Director Asanga Weerackody made two key appointments at the helm of the business. 

Rangana Perera, who previously acted as General Manager was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the company, while Amila Munaweera, who previously held the position of Head of Finance was appointed the Chief Financial Officer of the Eagle Group. 

Rangana has been with the company since 2009, rising up the ranks from his initial role as a customer service representative for the company. Amila joined Eagle Logistics as the Head of Finance in the year 2016 and has played an integral role from the start. 

“With the business ready to move to the next level, I have the utmost confidence in Rangana and Amila to steer this ship. They have been with the company through the highs and the lows and deserve their new appointments,” said Managing Director Asanga Weerackody. Eagle Logistics Colombo was founded in 2005 by Weerackody in collaboration with CL Synergy and currently employs over 250 people throughout its group. The Group has since expanded into Leisure and IT while maintaining its position as a powerhouse in the freight forwarding industry.
